2018 Distinguished Service Awards Applications EXTENDED
The Distinguished Service Awards honor individuals, companies, and non-profit organizations for their service to veterans in the Greater Washington business community. The Awards are presented in recognition of community stewardship and business leadership. The Distinguished Service Awards will be held this year on Wednesday, July 18 from 11:30AM - 1:30PM at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner. Click here to read more about the submission process. These establishments are known for their enjoyable atmospheres, quality service, exceptional experiences, and tasty bites – embodying hospitality and excellence. Mix and mingle, meet and eat with members of the hospitality industry and business community for an evening of friendly networking as restaurants serve bite size samples of some of their best dishes at the awards on Thursday, June 7 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at the Silverline Center Atrium. ACT I Awarded Contract to Provide Training Exercise Support to the Headquarters Eighth Air Force
Advanced Concepts and Technologies International, LLC (ACT I) was awarded a three-year Task Order under its GSA OASIS Small Business Pool 1 contract to provide the Headquarters Eighth Air Force (HQ 8 AF) with Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) exercise program support. ACT I will provide for the planning, scheduling, tasking, and monitoring participation of HQ 8 AF in CJCS command post and field training exercises; and developing HQ 8 AF exercise and joint exercise training objectives. LGS Innovations to Support the Largest Base Relocation in Army History
LGS Innovations has been awarded a five-year contract in support of the Yongsan Relocation Plan Increment 3 (YRP-3) by the U.S. Army under the GSA Alliant contract. LGS Innovations is responsible for relocating and upgrading Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems and infrastructure as part of the migration of assets and capabilities from the U.S. Army facilities throughout the Republic of Korea to U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) Humphreys. John Marshall Bank Taps Former Cardinal Bank Top Executive as President and CEO
John Marshall Bank recently welcomed Christopher “Chris” W. Bergstromas as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank. Mr. Bergstrom held a variety of executive positions during his 19 years with Cardinal Financial and Cardinal Bank, serving as President and Chief Executive Officer before United Bank’s acquisition of Cardinal Bank in April 2017. Bergstrom was United Bank’s President for the past year before joining John Marshall Bank. To read a full press release, click here.
