Dear Fellow Members of the Greater Wichita Chapter of AFP,
Each and every day, the important work you do demonstrates that you are a leader in effecting change in our community, making it a much better place for all of us. Fundraisers increase the capacity of nonprofit organizations to create impact, and AFP—and its philanthropic partner the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy—are proud to play an important role in supporting fundraising professionals. Through education, |
training, ethical practices, research, networking, collaboration and community building, AFP helps fundraisers raise more money to increase their organizations’ capacity.
Each year the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy asks for our help. I invite you to join me and the Board of Directorship for the Greater Wichita Chapter of AFP in supporting the BE the CAUSE Campaign, the annual fundraiser for the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy. Your investment in the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy will help support local, national, and international programs focusing on . . .
Diversity & Inclusion is a pillar of the AFP Strategic Plan, scholarships for people of diverse communities is a priority.
Professional Development through professional development scholarships provide fundraisers and nonprofit leaders with education, training, and leadership development opportunities.
Research that increases knowledge of fundraising, philanthropy, and social innovation. It also includes the Growth in Giving Initiative.
As an AFP member, you continually demonstrate your commitment to professional education, leadership development, and ethical and effective fundraising practice. When you make a gift to the BE the CAUSE Campaign, you are investing in the profession’s future and advancing philanthropy. You are part of something that really matters!
To give, please click here. Our chapter goal this year is $2080. If we meet this goal 35% of the donation will be returned to our chapter to support scholarship opportunities for our professional development activities.

My Best Take Away, MAC 2019: Pam Boggs

MAC was truly an incredible experience and the committee worked so hard to make each minute of the event meaningful! They are certainly to be commended for the endless hours it took to produce such an amazing conference. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment and deeply appreciated each committee member’s efforts and dedication to the 2019 MAC conference.
The highlight of the conference was meeting my fundraising hero Gail Perry. The opportunity to hear her in person and attend her sessions was invaluable. As a “newbie” to fundraising, I have spent many hours watching her videos, reading her articles/blog and seeking answers to my fundraising questions/challenges.
In addition, the variety of break-out sessions to choose from was simply fabulous! The sessions I attended were most helpful, as well as, the insights other fundraising professionals shared in the sessions.
Thank you so much AFP Greater Wichita Chapter for the opportunity to attend this awesome event! Your kindness enabled me to further my fundraising knowledge and I am very grateful.
