Dear Members and Friends
Last Friday’s celebrations of our 59th National Day remind us just how important human resources are to our country and to every business. Last Friday, we saw thousands of Singaporeans come together to stage the National Day Parade 2024. Months of rehearsals culminated in another amazing show of the strength of our diversity because we include everyone.
The same applies to businesses which need committed, engaged humans to implement business strategy. That happens with consistent leadership and an enabling, positive workplace culture in which everyone is treated equally and where no-one is bullied, diminished or undermined. Where everyone understands their responsibility – whatever their job function – is to contribute to a positive environment in which everyone can thrive and succeed along with the business. Where the lived experience of each team member is equally positive because people managers have all been properly incentivized and trained.
Another important aspect of positive workplace culture is one in which everyone who wants to be developed is given every opportunity to develop their skills and learn new ones. This is why Singapore maintains its commitment to continuous investment in its people. Learning, unlearning and relearning are all part of everyone’s life journey to stay competitive and relevant, to preserve employability and realize aspirations.
The SkillsFuture Festival 2024 is an island wide event that runs from 9 July to 21 August with a lineup of workshops and roadshows available for you and your teams to enhance your learning journey. Find out how to keep learning

Yours faithfully
