President's Letter

Hello All!

Well the holiday time is now upon us – I hope you are having a great one!  As the days grow shorter and the wind develops a bit of a bite, this should remind you that CPE Reporting Season is now upon us!  If you haven’t had a chance to play around with the ISACA website, please do so soon (Login and select the My ISACA tab).  CPE is now entered into the system so that International will know what program you attended and when.  This year, filling in those lost CPE certificates will be tricky until we converted to Cvent and began sending links for you to print out your own.  Be sure to leave enough time to get everything entered by the deadline because, well, let’s just say I know what happens when you miss a reporting deadline and I would NEVER want any of you to have to find out what needs to be done!

I hope you were able to join us at our December 4th event!  We had a great showing!  It was a great program with engaging speakers and a good time was had by all!  Thanks to our sponsors:  InteliSecure and Raytheon/Websense!

Next month we welcome back a crowd favorite – Mr. Excel!  The Early Bird Registration for members is only $48 for 4 CPEs and that includes his newest book:  XL (get it?  X-L as in Excel?? And the roman numerals for 40!!).  It’s his FORTIETH Book!  We hope you can join us!

Keep safe during this holiday season, and remember to enter your CPEs and renew your membership!

Kathleen Hall,
2015 – 2016 SC Midlands President

Tips for Registering for our Events

To register for one of our events simply respond to the invite you receive by email.  The invitation has several links where you can find more information.  I generally advise looking at the Event Summary.  On that page across the top will be additional tabs that will allow you to see the Fees, the Agenda for the class, Speaker content, Class Attendees.

To register, simply click on the Register button at the top right or the bottom right and fill in your information.  If you are one of our members, remember to use only your Email address that you have on record with ISACA International in your profile.  If you do not remember what that is, please go to http://www.isaca.org , log in and go to your profile.  We update our records two times a month to capture your most recent changes.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Event Planner.

After you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email and if you need to make changes, go back to the Event website and use your confirmation number to register additional people or to make a credit card payment.  You may also now print an invoice that you can send to your Accounts Payable Department for reimbursement at those organizations who fund training.

If you are receiving too many emails from us, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you in cleaning out the email addresses you no longer wish to use.  We have noticed that many people have several email addresses on record.

If we can be of any assistance - do not hesitate to contact us! We are happy to help.

After attendance at one of our events, you will receive a request to complete a follow-up survey.  Please fill out the survey - it takes just a few minutes and does provide us guidance on customer service and your training needs.  Within a day, you should receive another email to print out your CPE Certificate from class.

Coming soon - the ability to pay using your check online. Stay Tuned!

We look forward to seeing you at our next event!
