By 2025, one billion people will enter the global consuming class and around 600 million of them will live in emerging markets on Oman’s doorstep. Oman is strategically placed and has the business base, track-record, infrastructure, experience, talent, leadership and global connectivity to help any business take its ambitions forward.
According to the World Bank, Oman is ranked as one of the most cost-effective countries in the Middle East for doing business in terms of the combined impact of significant cost components including labor, utilities, facilities, transportation, financing costs and taxes.

Logistics
Taking advantage of trade routes between Asia, Europe and Africa, Oman’s investment in infrastructure, from roads, ports, industrial estates to free zones and airports has cemented its position as a leading logistics hub and gateway to some of the world’s largest and affluent markets. Developments in warehousing as well as rapid digital transformation is aiding growth in Oman’s logistics sector not only in terms of volume but also in efficiency producing minimum waste and carbon.

Oman’s natural resources – oil, gas, minerals, metals, fish, seafood and more provide businesses with a ready supply of raw materials. For those that need to be brought into the country, our strategic location and logistics network ensure reliable supply and, as import duties are not levied on production inputs and machinery, costs are kept low.

Oman’s tourism sector is experiencing a surge - almost 50% growth in the number of tourists visiting the country in 2022. The industry is expected to achieve a compound annual growth rate of 6.3% reaching US$900 million between 2022 and 2026. Oman aims to earn over US$22.5 billion a year from tourism by 2040 up from US$3.1 billion in 2019. And with the aim of boosting international as well as domestic travel the government plans to establish a cluster of tourism-related investments across the country. These include theme parks, nature resorts, water parks and entertainment centers.
