Christmas is all about love, family, kindness, and giving. For fundraisers… it’s also about thinking of and executing creative and effective Christmas fundraising ideas. Around 25% or more of all annual giving in the U.S. occurs during the last three months of the year. An estimated 43% of higher income donors (from households earning greater than $200,000) donate more during the holidays. If you are experiencing the hustle and bustle of the holidays at your not-for-profit already it means you’ve planned well for the most wonderful time of the year! |
If those BIG gifts haven’t made it your way yet don’t despair. This year’s holiday giving season is a full 33 days long!
And don’t forget to take some time to celebrate the season with your fellow fundraising professionals. Please join me and members of the Greater Wichita Chapter of AFP at our annual Christmas Social to be held on Thursday, December 13 from 4-6 p.m. at the Wichita Country Club. It’s sure to be a great time AND Santa’s elves will be there this year with some very special recognition gifts for some hard working fundraising professionals. It’s sure to provide an extra dose of Christmas cheer. |

National Philanthropy Day 2018
More than 300 people gathered on Friday, November 16 at the Hyatt Regency Wichita to celebrate outstanding philanthropy in our community. The annual event, hosted by the Greater Wichita Chapter of AFP, celebrated nine amazing people, businesses or foundations for their gifts to make our community a better place. A special thank you to the event sponsors for making this the best year in the chapter’s history!
