- Swiss DeCode raised $4M in venture funding from New Protein Capital and EIT Food for the development of the company's rapid on-site food testing and certification platform.
- Imperfect Foods raised $95M in Series D funding led by Insight Partners and Norwest Venture Partners to double capacity and product assortment in existing facilities, accelerate its private label program and more.
- Phospholutions raised $10.3M in a Series A funding led by Continental Grain Company, a FoodBytes! member, to focus on building a farmer network and new partnerships.
- Agriwebb raised $22.9M in a Series B led by TELUS Ventures. The funding will be used to invest in product features, including an unprecendented individual animal management platform, and tools to manage the carbon footprint of livestock production.
- Cropin raised $20M in a Series C led by ABC World Asia. The capital will go towards global expansion, while continuing to innovate on its machine-learning based predictive analytics platform, SmartRisk.
- New Wave Foods raised $18M in a Series A led by New Enterprise. The funds will be used to scale up production, expand the company's sales and marketing efforts, develop future products and add to its team.
- Thistle raised $10.3M in a Series B led by Powerplant Ventures, to launch new customer offerings including complimentary virtual consultation with their in-house registered dietician.
- Air Protein raised $32.11M in a Series A led by FoodBytes! member ADM Ventures, Barclays and GV. The funds will be used to launch an innovation R&D lab, accelerate product development and commercialization, and to recruit and build a world-class team.
- Alchemy FoodTech raised a 7 figure US dollar amount in a bridge round led by Thai Union. The funding will be used to scale up its production capacity and expand into new markets, focusing on China
