This Week's BLLA Commentary
If you ask us, change is good. At BLLA, we practice what we preach by disrupting tradition. In doing so, we bring the boutique further and further into the future.
After months of planning and prepping, we gathered the brains in boutique to discuss NEXT GEN BOUTIQE MONEY last week at our 6th annual Boutique Hotel Investment Conference. The feedback we have been getting points to this being the best line up and content we have presented yet.
From John Varvatos and the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) to Josh Hix, Founder of PLATED and Shark Tank fame, the panelists truly ran the gamut, leaving no area of modern boutique hospitality untouched. Boutique hospitality leaders like Jason Pomeranc of SIXTY Hotels to the owners of the Watergate Hotel in Washington D.C., iconic hoteliers graced the stage.
In between the all-star line-up, our very own COO,ArielaKiradjian, shared something we have been so excited to reveal. We are now the Boutique and Lifestyle Leaders Association! Just as before, everything we do is and will continue to be for the betterment of boutique hotels, we can’t stress this enough! BUT, our community and efforts touch much more than just hoteliers and suppliers. We’re blowing the lid off of traditional hospitality and taking queues from the most forward-thinking industries in existence.
Boutique is not JUST a hotel! Boutique is fashion, fine dining and retail environments. Boutique is fitness. Boutique is a speakeasy hidden behind an unassuming donut shop in 2018. Boutique is experiential, immersive and fun. Most importantly, boutique is undefinable. It can’t be put in a box, and neither can we. Our name is changing but our direction is not. We are simply expanding our horizonsand bringing an entire industry along for the ride.
Join us on the ride by participating in membership, committees, education, research, programs and more. Simply email us at info@blla.org.
