Mission to Russia

ETOA will be participating at the European Commission’s Mission for Growth meeting in St Petersburg on the 18th June. The EC Vice President and Russian Minister for Tourism will be present and there is a special focus on high-end luxury tourism. ETOA held a seminar in 2012 on Russia as part of its Origin Markets Series, as well as dedicating a session to the market during its Powerhouse Economies seminar at World Travel Market in November.

Market Intelligence Group

June also sees the latest meeting of the Market Intelligence Group (MIG) in Brussels, run by our partners the European Travel Commission (ETC). ETOA welcomes any suggestions from members for future areas of research we should be conducting relating to tourism to and within Europe.

European Tourism Summit in the Alps

A reminder that this year’s European Tourism Summit in the Alps will take place on the 8th October in Lucerne. As in previous years high level speakers will be considering some of the major challenges for European tourism and further details will follow in the coming weeks.
