MEMBERCONNECT

Dear Members and Friends,

It is a pleasure to wish all our Muslim members and friends and my Muslim colleagues Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri! Maaf zahir dan batin.

We are all so very fortunate to live in a country where each of us has the freedom to practise a religion or to practise none. This happy state of affairs is not something we should ever take for granted.

As the Muslim Community celebrates the end of the fasting month later this week, we should all count our blessings for the religious harmony we enjoy in Singapore. Each of us has a role to play in sustaining it each and every day as we treat people the way we would like to be treated.

I want to salute the Inter Religious Organization Singapore for all the work its members do to sustain religious harmony and to promote greater understanding between faiths through dialogue. They are heroes just like our wonderful health care workers and all those people who keep Singapore safe and all essential services working for the rest of us. www.iro.sg

Yours faithfully
