President's Letter for December 2016

Hello All!

Well the holiday time is now upon us – I hope you are having a great one!  As the days grow shorter and the wind develops a bit of a bite, this should remind you that CPE Reporting Season is now upon us!  If you haven’t had a chance to play around with the ISACA website, please do so soon (Login and select the My ISACA tab).  CPE is now entered into the system so that International will know what program you attended and when.  This year, we have begun to transfer CPE credits earned at ISACA events to the ISACA system through Cvent!  Don’t worry if you have already taken steps to add your CPEs manually … Just ignore the CPEs waiting for approval J.

Keep safe during this holiday season, remember to enter your CPEs, and renew your membership!

 ISACA Training/Certification Update

ISACA: 2017 Certification Exam Updates

The transition to Computer-Based Testing (CBT) in 2017 for ISACA’s CISA, CRISC, CISM and CGEIT certifications is underway. Registration is open for the first exam testing window, which will be 1 May-30 June. Exam registration is available at

Exams will be offered in 2017 at PSI testing locations worldwide during three, eight-week testing windows. The second testing window will be 1 August-30 September, and the third window will be 1 November-31 December. Additional information can be found in the ISACA Exam Candidate Information Guide

During the communications of the conversion to CBT, many questions have been asked by ISACA members. As such, the FAQs have been updated to address these inquiries. A copy of the FAQs can be found here.

To summarize, the major benefits offered by CBT are the increased exam scheduling flexibility and decreased turnaround time for exam results. Candidates will receive a preliminary score report at the conclusion of their exam, and official scores will be sent to candidates via email within 10 working days of the exam.

Any questions regarding CBT testing can be sent directly here.
