ALL POWER LABS AWARDED $3.2 MILLION IN FUNDING BY THE
CALIFORNIA ENERGY COMMISSION.

FRESNO, Calif. - Power up! All Power Labs (APL), a Valley Ventures Cohort V alumni, received a Notice of Proposed Award (NOPA) for grant funding totaling $3,287,890 from the California Energy Commission (CEC). The purpose of the Bringing Rapid Innovation Development to Green Energy (BRIDGE) 2020 funding is to stimulate clean energy startups that demonstrate exceptional promise and marketable technology.

The grant will be used for APL’s’ “Development and Demonstration of Distributed Biomass CHP Microgrid Systems,” spearheading the improvement of renewable on-demand generation technology that can complement and smooth other intermittent renewable systems This plan of action will focus on continued platform improvements resulting in the release of a Power Pallet PP30 v 3.0, which will include feedstock flexibility, improved gas quality, automation, as well as other operations and maintenance improvements. This project is to be carried out in disadvantaged communities. “Great job to All Power Labs for securing a significant funding award from the CEC to further develop their biomass microgrid systems,” said Jeff Macon, Venture Development Manager of the Water, Energy and Technology (WET) Center

“Valley Ventures has been helpful in giving APL context on funding opportunities, helping us create internal benchmarks, connecting us to possible partners, and ultimately by giving us the extensive coaching of the Valley Ventures accelerator program,” said Justin Knapp, Grants & Projects Administrator of All Power Labs.

BRIDGE 2020 provides follow-on funding for the most promising energy technologies that have previously received an award from an eligible California Energy Commission program or United States federal agency.
