Forage Management Online Course

From Field to Quality Feed

Cornell Dairy Executive Program

Applications are being accepted for Class 14 that starts in December. The Cornell Dairy Executive Program (CDEP) provides professional, cutting-edge management training for progressive dairy producers in New York and across the country. This multi-session program develops leadership and decision making skills that are necessary to run a successful dairy business and enhance the dairy industry.

Timely topics in dairy business management are presented by a team of national experts from within and outside of the field of agriculture in two multi-day sessions. Program content focuses on four different areas within the dairy business: business planning, financial management, human resource management and risk management.

After attending this program, you will have developed:

  • 1- and 5-year strategic business plans

Guidance and Clarity on Waste Tires
DEC has extended the use of enforcement discretion for waste tires used to cover feed bunks. We will continue to work with DEC to develop workable tire recycling or disposal solutions. This extension is good until May 3, 2021 unless new rules are issued before then.​
