Zoddy Imoisili Alumni Spotlight headshotZoddy Imoisili ’15: Raising Your Hand at New Opportunities

“The mantra ‘Lead fearlessly’ is something that I’ve ingrained in myself since my time at Smith,” said Zoddy Imoisili ’15. “I’ve always hustled and looked for any opportunity to reach my goals.”

Zoddy spent the past six years of her career – her entire professional career – at Pepsi Beverages and PepsiCo. As someone who always raises her hand at new opportunities, she found herself promoted to five different positions in just these six years.

Zoddy’s interest in business was kick-started at the University of Maryland, where she entered as a dual pre-med student and a freshman fellow at the Smith School, but later put her full focus on business. She knew she was someone who got things done efficiently, so supply chain management appealed to her as a major, which she coupled with marketing to balance with her more creative side.

Ed Snider Center for Enterprise and Markets and the Intentional Life Lab promotional graphic

Interested in supporting incoming Smith transfer students? Volunteer with the Ed Snider Center for Enterprise and Markets and the Intentional Life Lab!

What: We need your time and wisdom! Please join us for a fun and meaningful volunteer opportunity to support incoming Smith undergraduate transfer students. This year about 600 undergraduate students will be transferring into our Robert H. Smith School of Business. Our incoming cohort will be joining us from other schools across UMD's campus, but also from other institutions across the state, country, and the world.

Why: Transferring into our program has its unique benefits and challenges. Our incoming cohort is bright, enthusiastic, and ready to fully immerse in the Smith experience. However, given their shorter time at Smith, they also have a steep learning curve ahead of them. As such, we are offering a special onboarding symposium for them in partnership with UMD's Intentional Life Lab to jump-start their Smith journey. We want you to be part of this symposium and help our transfer students feel part of the Smith community.

How:
We need about one hour of your time and will be pairing you up with a group of 8-10 students to chitchat informally about Smith and how our incoming students can maximize their time with us. We would love for you to join our transfer students for lunch, dinner, or virtually and give them a warm welcome.

When: There are four opportunities to contribute your time and we have listed them below. Please sign-up for the date/time that works for you. There are three in-person opportunities and one-virtual.

  • Wednesday, August 25: IN PERSON Lunch from 1-2 pm at the Shady Grove campus
  • Thursday, August 26: IN PERSON Lunch from 1-2 pm at the College Park campus
  • Thursday, August 26: IN PERSON Dinner from 6-7 pm at the College Park campus
  • Friday, August 27: VIRTUAL from 1:15-2 pm

Please submit your RSVP by Wednesday, August 11. Questions? Email intentionallifelab@umd.edu.
