| Hello WMCA Members, | | Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of traveling across the region to connect with our amazing clerks and colleagues. My trips took me to Rhinelander for District 8’s meeting, to Dubuque, Iowa for their fall Municipal Finance Officers Association conference—where I had the honor of singing the National Anthem during their opening ceremony!!—and to Sussex for District 5’s meeting, which welcomed an impressive 80 clerks, including four non-WMCA members. | | Each visit was a wonderful reminder of the passion and dedication that drive our profession. A special thank you goes out to all the hosts and attendees who made these gatherings so welcoming and inspiring! | | I am excited to be traveling to Neenah for the District 6 meeting and to Verona for the District 4 meeting this November. | | I am especially proud of our district co-directors for their tireless collaboration in putting these meetings together. Your teamwork and dedication set a shining example for us all and ensure that each meeting is a meaningful and successful experience. | | Hats off to the staff of UW-Green Bay for putting together a phenomenal Gubernatorial training session! It was an engaging and informative experience for all attendees. A huge shout out to Elena Hilby and Arrin Linzenmeyer from the City of Sun Prairie who participated as speakers! Your expertise and willingness to share your knowledge in a collaborative way spoke volumes to your commitment to the professional growth of your colleagues! | | Tammy Wojtalewicz from the Town of Plover has officially earned her Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC)! Please join me in congratulating her on this outstanding accomplishment and recognition of her commitment to the profession. | | Lastly, as we are near the Thanksgiving holiday, I’d like to express sincere gratitude to you all for everything you do. Your efforts do not go unnoticed by me as they are truly inspiring. I am continuously proud, and in awe of the outstanding work you all are doing for your municipalities. Your commitment, professionalism, and passion make a real difference in the communities you serve every day. | | I am beyond thankful to be a part of WMCA family. |

Some of you are already thinking of your holiday baking and since most everyone does something, whether it be Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years, it is a good time to also submit your favorite recipe(s) to be included in the WMCA Cookbook. | | Wait! It is not just for baked items, but also whatever you like. Appetizers, Beverages, Main Dishes/Casseroles, Canning items, Snacks, Meats, Vegetables, Soups, Breads, Pasta, Eggs, Condiment’s/Sauces, etc. and of course…Desserts. Don’t forget an anecdote if there is one, or a memory that goes along with the recipe. AND…..if you add, subtract, or change ingredients in the recipe, this makes it your own. | IIMC 2026 Conference Grants |
|
|
|
|
| Apply for 2026 Conference Registration Grant | | The application period for a grant to attend the 2026 IIMC Annual Conference in Reno, NV is now open through February 12, 2026. | | The Conference Grant Program is designed to allow 2 IIMC members from each of IIMC's regions to attend the IIMC Annual Conference each May. If awarded a grant, the IIMC Foundation will cover the cost of your IIMC Annual Conference Registration. | | At the close of the application period, IIMC Region Directors will review applications submitted and select the two recipients from the Region they represent. The IIMC Foundation will post the successful candidates at www.iimcfoundation.com and notify recipients. | | If you have questions about the application process, contact IIMC Secretary Tracy Davis at gtdonheron@gmail.com. | | Hope to see all of you at the conference! |

Looking ahead to the 2026 WMCA Conference in Green Bay, rooms filled up quickly at our host hotel, The Hyatt Regency. While they have sold out of rooms in our WMCA block, we are setting up additional room blocks with area hotels and will list these on the conference page on our website as they come in!
