A Letter from the President

 1508 Molly Headshot

Season’s Greetings!

It is a beautiful, busy time of year – especially for development professionals who are working to secure end-of-year gifts, thanking donors for their generosity during the year with holiday gifts, attending socials and setting goals for growth in 2018… and that is just what we are doing in our professional roles.

The hectic nature of this time of year makes it easy to forget why we serve in the roles we do – but I beg you to remember why you choose work in the nonprofit space, at the service of our communities. I would be willing to bet each of us have a special calling to help others, to use our talents to the benefit of those who are not always able to help themselves.

You make a difference with your work each day. So, as we close out 2017, do something to care for yourself – because, to be able to continue to help others, we too need respite.

Beginning January 1, I will step into the role of Past President for our chapter as the leadership responsibilities will move to Wendy Glick. Wendy has a lot planned for our chapter, and has been preparing to ensure a smooth transition without disruption. I will still be at many events and look forward to continuing to work with you.

Many blessings in 2018,
Molly
