M&T Bank Opens New Location in Reston, January 22nd 
M&T Bank celebrates the grand opening of its newest branch in Reston, Va., with a ribbon cutting ceremony today, Wednesday, January 22nd at 5:30 p.m. The branch, located at 1886 Metro Center Drive, will include more business bankers to meet the needs of local small-business customers and feature a new design intended to improve the customer experience by removing barriers between customers and bank employees.

Bite Me Cancer Invites You to Attend Their 7th Annual Teen Cancer Support Fundraiser, April 25th 
Join a caring community for a wine dinner on Saturday, April 25th to learn about the unique challenges of teenagers dealing with cancer and to help expand the foundation's Teen Support Bag program. This program helps teenagers with cancer in the Greater Washington region and across the country. Learn more.

Geospatial Industry Expert Travis Hardy Joins Dewberry in Northern Virginia   
Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, announced that Travis Hardy has joined the firm as an associate vice president and senior program manager in its geospatial group. He is based in the firm’s Fairfax, Virginia, office. View release. 
 
Virginia Tech Awarded Nuclear Regulatory Commission Integrated University Program Grants 
The nuclear engineering program in Virginia Tech's Department of Mechanical Engineering has been awarded two grants totaling $850,000 for faculty development and graduate student fellowships. The nuclear engineering program is a multi-campus operation, training students in both Blacksburg and Northern Virginia. Read more
