St. Mary's Celebrates 120 Years

St. Mary's Medical Center in Grand Junction officially celebrated its 120th birthday on Monday, May 23rd. St. Mary's has been a cornerstone in the Grand Valley for generations.
The Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth opened the original hospital, a 10-bed facility, on May 22, 1896 at 11th Street and Colorado Avenue. In 1949 St. Mary's moved to their current location at 2635 N Seventh Street. HopeWest Receives Elite
National Award |
HopeWest has been named a recipient of the 2016 Hospice Honors award, an elite national award that recognizes hospices that provide the highest level of quality as measured from the caregiver’s point of view.
Presented annually by Deyta Analytics, a division of HEALTHCAREfirst, the Hospice Honors award winners are announced at the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s Management and Leadership Conference held each spring in Washington, DC. HopeWest was one of only two hospice providers in the state of Colorado to be named a Hospice Honors Award winner. read more

Montrose Memorial Hospital Earns Three National Awards |
Avatar Solutions, an industry leader in healthcare quality improvement services, announced its 2015 award-winning hospital partners. The organization announced that Montrose Memorial Hospital is the proud winner of three national awards relating to measures including cleanliness and patient satisfaction. The first award is an indicator of consistent cleanliness: the HCAHPS – Best Performer – Clean Composite award for medium sized hospitals. The award indicates the hospital was rated the highest by patients, compared with other hospitals nationwide of similar size. It was the fourth time in five years the hospital has won this award. read more
