Griffith University continues to establish its reputation globally following a report in the prestigious scientific Nature journal, which identified the University as the fastest-rising Australian institution based on its research performance. The University also recently celebrated excellence in its alumni community with the inaugural Griffith University Outstanding Alumni Awards and PhD and Doctorate Reunion.

A strong Gamilaroi man, Clinton Schultz has used his experience to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and consult on organisational and cultural responsiveness. He has also founded Clinto's Kupmurri food van and Sobah, a non-alcoholic craft beer, aligned with the Sobah Initiative.

Professor Qiyong Liu has built a research career with one goal, saving people's lives. Based at the Shandon University Centre for Climate Change and Health, his team specialises in mosquito borne illness and health issues associated with climate change.

Dr Jessie Christiansen's thirst for planet discovery started early, blossoming when she was given her first telescope. An amateur astronomer in high school, Dr Christiansen had no idea her passion for star gazing would lead to a career at NASA.

Gig on the Green 2018

Saturday 6 October 2018, The Australian Embassy Jakarta, Jakarta Selatan
Following the success of last year's Gig on the Green youth alumni event in Jakarta, the Australian Embassy Jakarta are proud to host another. Taking place at the Australian Embassy's outdoor courtyard, this year's Gig on the Green will feature a selection of Australian and Indonesian renowned musicians and artists, a number of alumni-run concession food stalls, Australian BBQ and wine tastings.
