Spring Application Week 2024 Starts Monday
|
MCAN's High School Innovation team is excited to kick off Spring Application Week on Monday! It's important that our graduating students know it's not too late to apply to college. Many
institutions in Michigan offer fee-free applications, and several more are
waiving their application fees March 18-22. Check out our fee waivers document for details.
Spring
Application Week presents a great opportunity for students to apply
to a dream school or add a back-up option while waiting for financial
award letters from colleges. Students who have not yet completed the FAFSA are also encouraged to do so during this time. Remember, the Michigan Achievement Scholarship* requires FAFSA completion for eligibility.
The scholarship offers up to $27,500 over five years for Michigan high
school graduates to attend an in-state community college, tribal
college, or four-year university.
MCAN encourages schools and community-based organizations to use this week to work with students and to make sure they have the support needed to complete college applications, file the FAFSA, and discover other financial aid opportunities. We also encourage students and families to review our Evolving FAFSA: Financial Aid Updates spreadsheet, which lists institutional deadline changes due to the delayed FAFSA.
