Message from the Head of Aviation
I hope our latest Griffith Aviation newsletter finds you well. We have just finished Trimester 1. It has been good to get back on Nathan campus this trimester and we have had a full set of MATES (Mentoring Aviators Through Educational Support) activities. We are currently preparing our new Flight Procedures Laboratory in the N79 building on campus, which will be ready for students at the start of Trimester 2.
Our on-line programs have also been thriving, particularly Professional Entry opportunities (listed below) for people who have experience working in the aviation industry. We have Professional Entry students studying with us from across Australia and in many international locations.
Do browse this Flying Mail for information regarding an award for a Griffith Aviation academic staff member (Dr Xioayu Wu) and a story about an Aviation / Engineering student, Aidan Correa. Finally, if you are attending the Brisbane Air-show this weekend (3rd / 4th July), then do look out for us at the Griffith Aviation exhibition stand.
Best wishes, Tim
Professor Tim Ryley
