Dylan Henderson
Hello Colleagues,

I trust that your summer has been full of fun, full of sun and full time well spent with your families! As we move forward into the Fall of 2019 you will begin to notice the impact of our leadership changes at the Board of Director level and subsequently within our district structures. The event calendar for the next 18 months is taking shape and will include future dates for district meetings, Fall and Spring Annual Seminar/Conference dates as well as key dates for our organization’s deliverables to ASHE as a part of our Platinum Affiliation. Amongst many district events scheduled to take place throughout the end of the year, I’d like to highlight one in particular; October 24th we will be hosting our 3rd Annual Fall Seminar at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Conference Center in Richmond, VA. More information and a call for abstracts will be issued soon. Please take advantage of this opportunity to give back to the VSHE community by supporting and presenting at the Fall Seminar! In addition, VSHE’s social media pages on Facebook and Instagram are taking off with new content on a regular basis thanks to new IT Chair Steve Brisson with Security Lock & Key. Please make sure to check these pages out and to join if you haven’t already! We also have exciting news on the sustainability front with more information coming towards the end of the year. VSHE  thrives on new perspectives, ideas and input from our members to grow and to bring value to our organization. We thank those that have stepped up to the plate to volunteer their time and resources to continuing our mission! If you have any ideas or would like to get involved, please reach out to a Board Member who can assist with putting you in touch with the right person.

Sincerely,
Dylan Henderson

We want to take a moment to celebrate our members and remind everyone to take advantage of the many benefits associated with VSHE. In addition to the district activities, which include social gatherings, educational opportunities, and advocacy updates, VSHE members are recognized as predominant leaders in healthcare facility management, maintenance, and construction. Why is this so? Because VSHE promotes continuous education and emphasis on the environment of care as well as the challenges our patient care teams face on a daily basis. VSHE members represent a community of professionals that elevate the industry standards and set the stage for excellence in patient care experiences and results. So again, thank you to all our members who carry the torch of responsibility and represent VSHE well.

The Benefits of ASHE Membership

As a member of VSHE, we encourage each of you who are not members of ASHE to consider joining. In the complex field of healthcare facilities management there is only one organization that speaks for us in all forums to include certification organizations, CMMS, and Code and Standards organizations: And that is ASHE!! In addition to advocacy, ASHE also is a leading source of education and certification programs in healthcare facilities. ASHE also conducts two national training sessions each year: (1) the Planning, Design and Construction Summit in the Spring, and (2) the Annual Conference in the Summer. These are truly one-stop meetings for all things “healthcare”. Please consider joining this great organization that represents our field.

ANNUAL SPONSORSHIPS: Our 2019/2020 sponsorships begin September 1, 2019. Look for an email with all the details coming to your inbox soon.
