- Guyana’s economy is expected to grow by 38% thanks to “unparalleled” oil sector expansion, according to a forecast from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
- $2 billion Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with EXIM Bank to facilitate greater investment in the country. Sectors include but are not limited to infrastructure, including roads and bridges, energy, telecommunications, water treatment and sanitation, and agriculture.
- The Qatari Emir visited Guyana this week, and the Qatari government invested $350m for a four-lane highway.
