Antalya, Turkey Meeting Planning Overview

Situated on the southwestern Mediterranean coast of Turkey, Antalya has recently become a major travel destination, with venues in Antalya welcoming 30 percent of the country's foreign visitors annually. The historic city center is very walkable, and offers beautiful coastal views along its stone-paved roadways.

Antalya Havalimani Airport, located eight miles northeast of the city center, is a modern, high-capacity airport with over 50 carriers. Average taxi fare into the city is $26. Buses provide a cheaper, and often, more convenient option, with extensive routes throughout the city.

Meeting venues in Antalya include the nearly 41,065-square-foot Sabanci Congress and Exhibition Center (which is also called the "Glass Pyramid"). This stunning glass building has a maximum event capacity of over 2,500 and offers five meeting halls and an 161,460-square-foot outdoor area that overlooks the facility's well-manicured gardens.

The Convention Center at the 5 Star, 483-room Dedeman Antalya Hotel features 10 unique event spaces, including ballrooms, conference spaces and meeting rooms, allowing it to host gatherings of 15 to 1,500. A chic, modern vibe is tangible at the 294-room Hillside SU Hotel, which offers eight event venues in Antalya and can accommodate groups of 850. The 204-room Divan Antalya Hotel has 2,700 square feet of event space for groups of up to 350 and features breathtaking Mediterranean views.

Special event venues in Antalya include two halls at the versatile Antalya Cultural Center, one of which is capable of hosting over 800 guests. This particular venue is home to the annual Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. For a more intimate gathering, the sleek Orkun Ozan Sanat Gallery offers a contemporary setting. Informal, al fresco gatherings can be held at the Yavuz Ozcan Park, located along the sea front, featuring lovely ponds, waterfalls and fountains for a serene backdrop.

The Seraser Restaurant, a fine-dining restaurant in downtown Antalya, has meeting space for 100 and boasts an elegant, open-air facility. Distinguished by authentic Turkish cuisine and stone architecture reminiscent of times past, Club Arma Restaurant is perfect for formal events of up to 60. Private dining space for 50 is available at the Mermerli Restaurant, well known for serving the freshest fish in Antalya.
