Georgia International Convention Center

The ATL Airport District is home to the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC), Georgia’s second largest convention center and the only convention center in the U.S. directly connected to a major airport. The ATL SkyTrain, an elevated light rail system, moves guests between Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and the GICC in two minutes, FREE of charge, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The ATL Airport District offers more than 8,000 hotel rooms with free airport shuttle service provided. In fact, the 403-room Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway and the 147-room Springhill Suites Atlanta Airport Gateway along with a newly constructed 204-room Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway, and the GICC, are all located on the Gateway Center campus.

Beyond its impressive connection to the world's busiest airport, the GICC spans a staggering 400,000 total square feet, all on one level with a flat roof design, which affords nearly total quiet despite its near-airport location. The GICC offers 150,000 square feet of nearly column-free exhibit space (divisible into four exhibit halls); 90,000 square feet of pre-function space; 16,000 square feet of meeting space; and a 40,000-square-foot ballroom, metro Atlanta's largest ballroom space.

For those who love great cuisine, the GICC boasts one of the finest culinary arts centers in the Southeast. The 9,800 square foot, state-of-the-art kitchen is managed by Georgia’s top caterer, Proof of the Pudding. The GICC culinary experience differs from typical convention center fare by its commitment to restaurant-quality menus and, in particular, ingredients, produce, meats and fish sourced from local and regional farms.
