Buckhead Atlanta, GA Meeting Planning Overview

If it's uptown luxury, ritzy shopping and cream of the crop experiences your groups are after, Buckhead event venues will supply joyful proximity to all. Nicknamed the "Beverly Hills of the East" because of the many designer shops and 1950s mansions, Buckhead offers groups a chance to indulge, relax and be pampered at almost every turn in the road. Visitors head to Buckhead to shop at high-end venues Phipps Plaza and Lenox Square Mall, which together have more than 340 retail shops including Coach, Louis Vuitton, Kate Spade, Tiffany & Co., Jimmy Choo, Giorgio Armani, Fendi, and Neiman Marcus. Nearing completion is the Buckhead Atlanta Project which will add several more highbrow retailers to the area's shopping scene. Stores included in the project that are already open include Hermes, Christian Louboutin, Theory, Southern Gentlemen, Helmut Lang to name a few. New stores and restaurants join the elite list almost weekly.

Buckhead, about 14 miles from the Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta airport, is a metro area located between Interstate 85 and Interstate 75 and served by MARTA. The main north/south street is Peachtree Road, which travels south into the heart of the city as Peachtree Street; the name change signifies the border between Buckhead and Midtown Atlanta.

In line with the upscale shopping district are Buckhead's world-famed hotels, spas and restaurants. Hotel venues in Buckhead include the 510-room Ritz-Carlton Buckhead, which features 23,000 square feet of meeting space, including 2 ballrooms, and is the only property in the area with an entire floor reserved for its spa. The AAA 5 Diamond Award recipient St. Regis Atlanta provides guests with a boutique hotel experience offering 151 luxurious guest rooms, including 31 suites with the St. Regis' signature Butler Service. (The hotel also offers more than 16,000 total square feet of meeting space and 8 event venues to choose from.) The 4 Diamond 365-room Westin Buckhead (with 30,000 square feet of meeting space) and 371-room JW Marriott at Lenox (with 18,000 square feet of meeting space) are also included amongst the distinguished Buckhead hotel properties.

Buckhead event venues keep up the opulence as well. The Atlanta History Center can entertain up to 1,500 in a luxurious ballroom that features floor-to-ceiling windows, cherry hard woods, barreled ceiling, and garden views. Also part of the Center is the Swan House Gardens (available for outdoor gatherings of 500-800 guests), where groups will enjoy networking against the backdrop of the 1928 mansion and its glamorous cascading fountains. Other popular Buckhead event venues include the Chastain Horse Park Club House (200 for reception); 103 West, which is just down the road from the Governor's Mansion (seating for up to 300); and the Buckhead Theatre, built in 1931 and recently reopened after a two-year renovation (capacity for up to 1,500).

Five-star dining options are also plentiful. Dining venues in Buckhead include 10 Degrees South, the Blue Ridge Grill, Horseradish Grill, Bone's, and the Atlanta Fish Market – all of which offer private dining space.
