Casper, WY Meeting Planning Overview

As the second-largest city in Wyoming, Casper is a former frontier town that has grown into the state's adventure capital, offering a picturesque outdoor setting for a number of activities both on land and in the water. But the city's adventuresome spirit isn't the only thing that's captivating guests these days. Casper is also home to over 2,300 hotel rooms and 180,000 square feet of meeting space. Coupled with its convenient location in the Western mountain region and an international airport just nine miles from downtown, meeting venues in Casper are a natural choice for conventions and events.

Casper is served by Casper Natrona International Airport, which offers daily flights from Denver, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City through Delta, United, and Allegiant.

One of the largest convention and meeting venues in Casper is the Casper Events Center, which offers seating arrangements for more than 10,000 guests. The horseshoe-shaped center can be easily adapted to a range of events, from Broadway shows to sports tournaments to bridal expos. Its theater seating arrangement fits 2,800 people and the column-free arena floor can accommodate 200 10-foot-by-10-foot booths. The Casper Events Center also offers Wi-Fi, full catering services for up to 2,000 people, convention booth equipment, and an impressive 14 parking lots handling 3,600 vehicles.

Located just south the Casper Events Center, the 121-room Hilton Garden Inn Casper offers nearly 3,000 square feet of additional meeting space as well as complimentary Internet access and a business center. Several other hotel venues in Casper provide well-appointed event space, including the luxurious Parkway Plaza Hotel & Convention Centre. Located in the heart of the city, the 285-room property has over 25,000 square feet of meeting space, making it the largest full-service hotel and conference center in the state. The center has 20 meeting rooms and an overall capacity for 1,500 attendees, plus a full-service business center, a full suite of audio-visual equipment, teleconferencing capabilities, and a VIP suite.

Meeting planners in Casper can also look beyond the traditional to find a venue that will really spice up their events. Brimming with photographs, clothing, tools and other artifacts, the Fort Casper Museum is a captivating walk through the history of Fort Casper, the city of Casper and Natrona County. The museum has two spaces indoors for events of 30 to 120 people and its spacious Centennial Park is also available for rent. The Wolcott Galleria in downtown Casper is an elegant blank canvas awaiting dinner parties, galas, and award ceremonies to dress up its subtle cream and maroon decor.

Casper promises year-round adventure: The city and surrounding area offer a plethora of opportunities for unforgettable team-building experiences. Take a kayaking class at the Back Country Kayak School or kick things up with a guided rafting tour down the Platte River at the Casper Whitewater Park. The unique Historic Trails West wagon train adventures is a living history experience that takes guests on the actual trails traveled by pioneers in authentic Conestoga wagons or on horseback. No matter what time of year or what level of experience, Casper Mountain has an activity for everyone, from hiking to skiing to the annual bluegrass festival held every summer.
