Chengdu Meeting Planning Overview
Why Host a Meeting in Chengdu?
The capital of southern China’s Sichuan province, Chengdu is known for its giant pandas, rich history, and relaxed feel. Highlights include the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, a conserva-tion center where visitors can see the pandas in a natural habitat. The city also boasts many teahouses, delicious spicy cuisine, a strong cultural scene, and great nightlife. Visitors frequent the historic neigh-borhoods of Jin Li and Kuan Xiangzi, which are lined with shops and restaurants, as well as the Wenshu Temple and the re-created thatched cottage of Tang dynasty poet Du Fu.
Chengdu is also a major transport hub, home to Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport and major railway stations with service extending nationwide, as well as in-city service. Meetings are made easy at the Chengdu International Exhibition and Convention Center, which features two indoor exhibition halls totaling 55,000 square meters, along with a 13,000-square-meter outdoor exhibition area - not to mention an onsite hotel, art museum, teahouse, cinema, and much more.
