Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority: The B Trolley
The Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) – also known as the B Trolley – operates a bus service system of 42 fixed routes that cover 830 square miles. Serving five million passengers a year, RTA serves downtown Corpus Christi with bus Routes 76, 78 and 79, as well as the seasonal Route 77 Harbor Ferry, a water taxi that connects downtown Corpus Christi with Corpus Christi Beach. The seasonal bus Route 76 operates in conjunction with the Harbor Ferry and provides service for downtown hotels, attraction and businesses, while Route 78 serves downtown attractions, the American Bank Center and the Congressman Solomon P. Ortiz International Center and Route 79 serves the Corpus Christi Greyhound station. Regular bus fare is $0.75 per trip, while a daily pass costs $1.75 and a seven-day pass costs $7.50. Ferry fare is $3 per round trip.
