Germany Meeting & Event Planning City Guide

With its central position in Europe and massive investment in modern meetings infrastructure, planning meetings and events in Germany presents few logistical challenges. And, with a plethora of cities with distinctive personalities, groups are sure to find their dream destination in one – or more! Starting with Berlin, Germany’s premier international destination, large groups can convene in the International Congress Center Berlin (the largest in Europe), while smaller groups can take advantage of venues in such distinctive neighborhoods like Charlottenburg, Hackescher Markt, Ku'damm, Mitte, Neukoelln, Schoeneberg, Spandau and Tiergarten. Groups can also explore 20th-century history in Bonn, capital of the former West Germany; Frankfurt, with a 900-year history of hosting trade shows and conferences; historic learning centers like Cologne and Heidelberg; Hamburg and Munich – famous for Oktoberfests; and Dusseldorf, which boasts "the longest bar in the world."
