In 2016, Incheon became the third most populous city in the country after the capital city, Seoul and the port city, Busan. The vibrant areas of Chinatown and Open Port are the city's most tourist-friendly areas to explore and easily accessible from Seoul by subway.

The Incheon city serves a major air and sea transportation hub. The city as a gigantic harbor and a major international airport – Incheon International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world. As countless international organizations have entered the Songdo International Business District – South Korea’s first international conference district, Incheon is continuously booming as a locale for international MICE activities. Moreover, the Songdo Convensia Convention Center with state-of-the-art facilities is further accelerating the development of MICE industry in Incheon.
