Norman, OK Meeting Planning Overview

Only 20 miles south of downtown Oklahoma City, Norman is the third largest city in the state of Oklahoma. Norman's culture and charm has something for everyone. Meeting spaces include a 6,840-square-foot conference center, 8,928-square-foot conference hall and over 11,500 square feet of pre-function space.

With over 20 in the area, hotel venues in Norman also include the 283-room Embassy Suites Norman Hotel & Conference Center. Just 18 miles from the airport, the Embassy Suites has over 50,000 square feet of event space across 20 meeting rooms. Its 28,000-square-foot ballroom is perfect for galas and large dinners. Business-friendly amenities include a business center, complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast and Wi-Fi access.

Special event venues in Norman are not hard to find: the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art, has intimate pavilions and galleries full of Native American, Asian and European art that make the a unique backdrop for dinners, cocktail hours and seminars. The entire museum is available for up to 2,000 guests, while the Sandy Bell Gallery and Mary Eddy and Fred Jones Auditorium can accommodate smaller groups of 200 and 146 guests, respectively. The Sam Nobel Oklahoma Museum of Natural History is equally captivating, as guests can mingle by a full-size bronze mammoth under wide skylights or enjoy presentations in the new state-of-the-art, 169-seat Kerr Auditorium.

An easygoing night of dinner and drinks is the perfect way to welcome groups or celebrate the end of a day of meetings. Blu is a cozy wine bar with two lounges for intimate groups of 20 to 25 people, each equipped with dedicated sound, couches and a flat-screened television.
