Located just 25 miles north of downtown Chicago, Northbrook offers big-city amenities in a welcoming, neighborhood atmosphere. Additionally, Northbrook meeting venues offer the very best of Illinois' prestigious North Shore.
Northbrook is served by both Midway International Airport and O'Hare International Airport. In addition to its convenient Chicagoland location, meeting planners are also attracted to Northbrook meeting venues such as the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel. The recently renovated AAA 4 Diamond hotel features 385 elegant guest rooms and more than 22,000 square feet of meeting space. Meeting venues within the hotel include 18 meeting rooms, a maximum of 21 breakout rooms, two 4,000-square-foot ballrooms and a tiered auditorium for 80 people. Meeting amenities include on-site audio-visual, lighting, and catering services, as well as onsite dining at Pancetta Regional Kitchen and Ruth's Chris Steak House.
Fine-dining venues in Northbrook include Zapatista, featuring authentic Mexican cuisine, as well as the Italian seafood house Di Pescara. Other Northbrook neighborhood gems with private event space include Francesca's North, Pinstripes, and Marcello's.
The Northbrook and North Shore region is home to unique venues and attractions ranging from world-class bicycle racing tracks to top-notch art museums and everything in between. Ed Rudolph Velodrome stands out from other Northbrook event venues. One of the few bicycle racing tracks in the nation, it features spectator racing and training, as well as private event rentals. Located in neighboring Glencoe, the Chicago Botanic Garden also makes the A-list. Spanning more than 385 acres and featuring 24 formal gardens, waterways, and natural display areas, the Chicago Botanic Garden is an event oasis. Visitors can tour a variety of beautiful green spaces, including the English walled garden, Japanese garden, waterfall garden, and aquatic garden via tram or walkways. Events can be held in an outdoor pavilion overlooking the grounds or in elegant meeting rooms that accommodate up to 350 people.
Visitors to Northbrook frequent Northbrook Court, which offers more than 125 retailers, as well as enjoy Northbrook's 500 acres of parks and playgrounds. Visitors can also explore such museums as the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center, located in nearby Skokie. The 65,000-square-foot museum also offers several private event spaces, including a 240-person auditorium and expansive museum hall. Northwestern University's Block Museum of Art in nearby Evanston houses more than 4,000 works of art in a soaring glass and limestone structure, while Northbrook's very own Historical Society museum features a recreated 1890s Illinois home furnished with period furniture and fixtures.
