DuPage is within a day's drive of over half the nation's population, with eight interstate highways and toll roads making traveling to and through DuPage fast and easy. They include I-55, I-80, I-88, I-90, I-94, I-290, I-294 & I-355. We even lay claim to a portion of historic Route 66. National consumer rail service is available through Amtrak, and three Metra commuter rail lines provide direct access from DuPage communities to Chicago's downtown business district, "The Loop."

Brimming with history, beauty, and serenity, the 500-acre former estate of Chicago Tribune editor and publisher Colonel Robert R. McCormick offers something for all ages. McCormick named the estate after a small village in France, site of the Battle of Cantigny during World War I, where he commanded an artillery unit for the U.S. Army’s First Division. Cantigny’s renowned First Division Museum traces the history of the “Big Red One” and pays tribute to all military veterans. Cantigny’s other main attraction is the vibrant display gardens and scenic grounds, which include a vast picnic area and the Red Oaks Farm playground. The park is easily navigated on wide, accessible pathways. Throughout the year, Cantigny offers a wide range of programming, including concerts, lectures, and festivals.

The Morton Arboretum
