Why Choose Our Destination?

A visit to Aruba is all it takes to understand why we are called the One Happy Island. Unending days of blissful sunshine sparkling off vividly clear turquoise waters, sugar-white beaches, and the warm and inviting hospitality of our people will put a smile on anyone’s face! Aruba boasts top-notch resorts and amenities that cater to groups large and small with unique and traditional venues for meetings and events. Those who enjoy active pursuits can hit the greens on two challenging world-class golf courses, set sail for a day of cruising and snorkeling the calm waters of our coastline, explore the rugged beauty of our countryside by Jeep or horseback, or even learn to windsurf in a day at our famous Fisherman’s Huts. A day of marathon shopping with some of the world’s top designers and retailers can be had in the downtown Oranjestad shopping district and at several plazas and malls open until late in the evening in Palm Beach. Aruba’s cultural heritage is abundantly accessible with art galleries and museums to tour, as well as various music, food, and art festivals taking place throughout the year. And, of course, those with pure relaxation in mind have miles of pristine, award-winning beaches to enjoy. Afternoons spent lounging under the shade of a palapa, with cooling trade winds blowing and frozen drink in-hand, will surely ease the everyday stresses of life! After the sun sets, the Island takes on a new energy. Culinary adventures abound, with some of the top-rated restaurants in the Caribbean located here on Aruba. The Island is home to more than 70 nationalities, and our restaurants represent a variety of international cuisines as well as our local cuisine.

Beyond our hotels, the friendliness of our locals and the ease of getting around the island lay the groundwork for planning a variety of engaging events outside of your hotel. Your group will enjoy one-of-a-kind settings from local farms and manors to museums and the wilderness of our national park that provide a unique event canvas as well as cultural and local authenticity.

Shopping

Aruba offers a colorful selection of modern shopping complexes in the resort areas and downtown store-lined streets and upscale malls, as well as a potpourri of unique local boutiques and emporiums. Offering everything from top-name luxury brands to locally made arts and crafts, your group will love our shopper’s paradise

Golf

Does your ideal vacation involve putts, lags, and eagles? Are you on your happiest when swinging a golf club? Then you are in for some good news. Aruba is one of the best Caribbean islands for golf. Combine perfect weather and relaxation with pure joy on our golf courses. There are two fantastic golf courses in Aruba, which makes it a very attractive golf destination. At the northern tip of the island, you’ll find Tierra Del Sol Resort & Golf, boasting an 18-hole PGA-approved gem designed by the renowned Robert Trent Jones II. Tierra Del Sol has sweeping panoramic ocean views and spectacular desert scenery at every hole. It’s no wonder it was given a Place To Play rating of 4.5 stars by Golf Digest. The Links at Divi Aruba is a lush, nine-hole course nestled between the luxury vacation villas at the Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort. Designed by Litten & Viola, The Links offers beautifully manicured fairways surrounded by indigenous vegetation for a truly unique Caribbean golf setting. It is open to the public, with preferred tee times for Divi Resort guests.

Dining

Foodies will feel right at home in Aruba, with over 150 restaurants to choose from—many in walking distance and others accessible by taxi, rental car, and bus—Aruba is a foodie’s paradise! Food is a big part of our culture, so Aruban restaurants are seldom empty. Whether you’re looking for authentic local food in a traditional setting, or fine dining in one of our top restaurants, we can help you find the right restaurant to accommodate your group’s needs.

Island Tours

This is a great way to navigate the island in a single day without a map! You are now part of a jeep tour "wagon train" that will often contain 10 or more four wheel drive vehicles, consisting of Jeeps and Land Rovers. Organized jeep tours often stop at the California Lighthouse, charming Alto Vista chapel, Seroe Crystal, the Bushiribana gold mill ruins, famous Natural Bridge, through the back roads to the Guadirikiri caves and finishing off on a private island that is located just a five minute ferry boat ride from the main land.

DMCS

Our team of seasoned planners and coordinators are well-versed in Aruba’s group, incentive, and meeting industry, with an intimate knowledge of Aruba and which aspects and experiences fit with each diverse group. We can coordinate everything from excursions, venue locations, entertainment, lighting and sound, décor, and any other components needed to craft a stellar itinerary of activities and events.

Arikok National Park

The Arikok National Park land area encompasses the three primary geological formations that shape the island of Aruba: the Aruba lava formation, a quartz diorite formation and a limestone formation extending inward from the coastline. These formations have played an important role, not only in supporting unique, indigenous plants and wildlife, but by influencing historic human settlement and activity patterns on the island. The rock outcrops, boulders and crevices between the various formations create micro-climactic conditions that support unique examples of indigenous flora and fauna. As a result, the park is the habitat of several animal species found only in Aruba including two snake species: the cascabel, Crotalus thurissus uni-color (Aruba island's rattlesnake) and the santanero, Leptodira bakeri (Aruba cat-eyed snake); the kododo blauw, Cnemido- phorus arubensus (Aruban whiptail lizard); and two bird species: the shoco, Athene cunicu- laria arubensis (Aruban burrowing owl) and the prikichi, Aratinga pertinax arubensis (Aruban parakeet).
