West London, England Meeting Planning Overview

Leafy, fashionable West London is home to many affluent and elegant districts such as Chelsea, Kensington, Hammersmith, Fulham and Knightsbridge, and, with London Heathrow Airport just 15 miles away, it is one of London's most attractive and desirable areas. With two of the city's most famous and spacious convention venues in West London (Earls Court and Olympia), plus being well connected to the rest of the capital via excellent underground ("tube") and road services, this area tops the site list for many a planner.

Earls Court London has hosted large-scale conventions, conferences, events and exhibitions for more than 60 years. With its very own dedicated underground and mainline train stations, the two massive interlocking buildings (Earls Court One and Earls Court Two) provide over 624,312 square feet of exhibition space, theater-style seating for 17,500 delegates and over 1,600 on-site car parking spaces. Nearby, Olympia London is a much-loved Victorian structure, comprising three large and highly adaptable that can host major exhibitions, conferences and business events. This famous building also has its own train station and on-site parking. The Grand Hall can accommodate 4,000 seated delegates; the National Hall 2,000, and the East Hall 700, with a combined exhibition space totaling 397,116 square feet.

Serving both venues in nearby Hammersmith is the landmark, 630-room Novotel London West Hotel and Convention Centre, which offers 59,202 square feet of exhibition space and seating for 1,700 conference delegates or a 3,000 capacity for standing receptions.

To the south, Chelsea Football Stadium provides excellent accommodation for up to 1,500 guests in unique sporting surroundings and to the east, overlooking the Thames, is the iconic Tate Britain, home of the world's greatest collection of British art with fantastic opportunities for evening meetings and corporate hospitality events set within the galleries themselves.

Based in fashionable South Kensington, Imperial College London is the city's largest academic venue, offering an outstanding range of conference, banqueting and exhibition facilities for up to 740 delegates. Just minutes away, the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum offer excellent conferencing and corporate hospitality facilities for up to 1,200 delegates in stunning surroundings. Harrods, Harvey Nichols and other famous name shops are temptingly close by.
