Getting Here

The Dolder Grand can be reached easily using public transport. Take one of the trams numbered 3 or 8 to Römerhof and then take the rack-and-pinion railway to Bergstation Dolderbahn. The final station is right next to the Hotel. The Dolder Grand is only around 20 minutes away from Zurich Airport by car, and only a short journey from the city centre. We have our own car park with 240 spaces, which does incur a charge. Travelling from the airport to the Hotel by public transport is also quick and simple.

Grossmünster – Zurich's Famous Landmark

The Grossmünster church is a landmark of Zurich. Legend has it that the church was built on the graves of the city's patron saints, Felix and Regula. In the first half of the 16th century, the Grossmünster church was the starting point of the Swiss-German Reformation led by Huldrych Zwingli and Heinrich Bullinger. The theological college then annexed to the monastery spawned what is now the University of Zürich.

FIFA World Football Museum

Along with the original World Cup Trophy, the Museum displays over 1,000 items of exclusive memorabilia and apparel, including the national football shirts of all the FIFA member associations. A further highlight is the giant pinball machine, which invites visitors to test their own ball skills in a playful manner – guaranteeing plenty of fun, including for non-football fanatics.

Niederdorf – Popular Promenade in Zurich's Old Town

Niederdorf offers interesting sights, culinary delights and shopping in Zurich's old town. Niederdorf is part of Zurich's old town – and the locals fondly refer to it as "Dörfli", meaning the entire Niederdorf and Oberdorf area that extends as far as Bellevue. Niederdorf is a pedestrian zone the same as Limmatquai, which runs parallel. During the day, the pedestrian zone and many stores, which are almost hidden in alleyways, entice you to shop. In the evening, Niederdorf changes into a nightlife district for a very varied public with its bars and street artists. The popular "Dörflifäscht" takes place with many DJs, market booths, culinary delights, shows and attractions at the end of August.
