Cape Byron State Conservation Area, a state conservation area is located in north-eastern New South Wales 3km from the township of Byron Bay. Situated on the most easterly point of the Australian mainland the Reserve which covers 98 hectares is a very special and unique part of Australia. The Reserve is managed by the Cape Byron Trust which was established in 1989. It is a popular place for ceremonies and events. It offers The Lighthouse Precinct which is ideal for parties, conventions and parties. The areas outside the Lighthouse precinct include Palm Valley and the beautiful beaches fringing the Cape at The Pass, Wategos and Tallow Beach.
