The Roaring 20's will come roaring back in the summer of 2018. The Historic Read House is getting a $25 million-dollar renovation and the "Great Gatsby" returns to Chattanooga. Guests are invited to experience the grandeur and opulence of the era--a time of unprecedented economic prosperity. Avocet Hospitality Group is working with historians and architects, recreating a modern version of the hotel's 1926 stateliness. The result will be a unique experience for guests. This renovation marks the rebirth of The Read House, often said to be, "one of the finest hotels in the country". During the renovation of the Historic Tower, there will be 100 guestrooms available in the Manor Tower.
