Nestled in Austin’s Bouldin Creek neighborhood, Green Pastures’ storied history, oak-shaded grounds, and resident peacocks make the magical site unmatched by its local peers. Originally part of 50 rural acres with a farmhouse built in 1895, its owners named it Green Pastures and opened its doors as an eatery and public gathering place in 1946. Throughout many decades of great change and various stewards, the property has remained a steadfast symbol of Austin hospitality and an oasis of relaxed elegance just a few blocks away from the city’s bustling cultural and shopping districts.
