Im Juli 2024 finden im Duke Energy Convention Center einige spannende Veranstaltungen statt, da wir das Gebäude für eine 240 Millionen Dollar teure Umgestaltung des Zentrums schließen. Wir rechnen mit einer Wiedereröffnung im Januar 2026 mit einer Anlage, die ein völlig neues Äußeres bietet und mehr Tageslicht in das Gebäude lässt. Breitere Hallen und offene Atrien sorgen für eine bessere Durchblutung und einen besseren Verkehrsfluss. Der 17.326 Quadratmeter große Junior Ballsaal auf der 3. Etage wird neu gestaltet, und der Empfangsbereich wird um eine Außenterrasse erweitert, die alle ein aufgewertetes Veranstaltungserlebnis bieten wird. Die Tagungsräume des Zentrums werden modernisiert, alle wichtigen Gebäudesysteme werden ausgetauscht und die Energieeffizienz erheblich verbessert. Schließlich wird der Haupteingang des Gebäudes abgestuft, um ein besseres Gefühl der Ankunft zu ermöglichen, und vor dem Zentrum wird ein neuer Park im Freien angelegt, der Empfänge und Versammlungsräume im Freien ermöglicht. Es wird transformativ sein!
