About us

Cavens is one of the loveliest ‘home from home’ country house hotels in Dumfries and Galloway. Set in 20 acres of peaceful, beautifully landscaped private gardens and near Dumfries in Scotland, Cavens is a gem of a 4 Star country retreat of character and charm. Cavens boasts eight spacious bedrooms in the main house as well as two delightful self-contained lodges allowing us to accommodate a party of up to 22 people. The ample living accommodation in the main house has generous sized sitting rooms and with our restaurant, guests can enjoy plenty of space to soak up the charm and character of Cavens. For larger groups, we have The Green Room, your very own private dining room that can seat up to ten. This lovely rooms is ideal for a private wedding reception venue. It is also used as a private meetings venue for lunches and dinners.
