About us
The Santa Ynez Valley Marriott is 20 minutes from Vandenberg Air Force Base (VAFB) which provides the largest amount of BT business. Transient and Groups are from Boeing, Lockheed, SpaceX, United Alliance Launch, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman and Aerospace primarily. No current launches for 2019 or 202 which impacts group. We’re the gateway to Santa Barbara Wine Country (Santa Ynez & Santa Rita Hills) right off the 101 on the Central Coast. We’re 2 hours from LA and 4 from SF on the main north/south highway which enables us to target companies from both areas. We are a rural destination with rolling hills and every outdoor sport imaginable, adjacent to Santa Barbara (SBA 35 miles) and it’s growing tech. Limited Services hotels in the area, Lompoc and Santa Maria are undercutting us so we are getting very aggressive with Sunday – Thursday group rates. We have the largest outdoor flexible event space in the Valley.
