Founded some 50 years ago by oilman Eric Harvie, the Glenbow Museum is located next to the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre in downtown Calgary. One of the largest museums in Canada, the Glenbow includes a museum, art gallery, library and archives and has more than one million artifacts and some 28,000 works of art in its vast collections. Opened in October 2011, it is Canada’s first new science centre in more than 25 years.
