About us
The Acorn Inn, run by the enthusiastic and experienced management team of Jack and Alex Mackenzie, is that increasingly rare thing – a traditional village pub full of life, laughter and good company, but with an award-winning restaurant that’s a star attraction in its own right. Ten comfortable en-suite hotel rooms in our family and pet friendly inn, are named after places in Hardy’s novels and provide the most modern creature comforts including free wi-fi, but with traditional fabrics and furnishings in keeping with the period. The Acorn Inn makes an ideal setting for a number of different functions or events, from a birthday bash to an anniversary dinner or an engagement party to a business meeting. We have the flexibility to accommodate a wide variety of different occasions – just let us know what you have in mind.
