teeling whiskey distillery Located in the heart of the historic Liberties, against the backdrop of a city steeped in whiskey history, the Teeling Whiskey Distillery opened its doors in 2015 as the first new distillery in Dublin for over 125 years. Once home to over 37 distilleries, Dublin is no stranger to the craft of whiskey making and we are proud to have brought the tradition of distilling back into the heart of Dublin city centre with the opening of our distillery. Distilling is in the fabric of our city and our family — for us this is more than a beginning, this is a revival.

Erected in the early thirteenth century on the site of a Viking settlement, Dublin Castle served for centuries as the headquarters of English, and later British, administration in Ireland. In 1922, following Ireland’s independence, Dublin Castle was handed over to the new Irish government. It is now a major government complex and a key tourist attraction. Dublin Castle is a 14 minute walk from the Hotel.

Christ Church Cathedral is Dublin's oldest building, a leading visitor attraction and a place of pilgrimage for almost 1,000 years. Renowned for its beauty, architecture and exquisite floor tiles, it is home to the famous 12th Century crypt, one of the oldest and largest in Britain and Ireland. Perfectly located in the heart of Medieval Dublin, it was founded in 1030 by Sitriuc, King of the Dublin Norsemen and was incorporated into the Irish Church in 1152 and eventually led by the famous Archbishop and patron saint of Dublin, Laurence O’Toole. The Teeling Whiskey Distillery is the first new distillery in Dublin for over 125 years. Located in the heart of Dublin City Centre, it is a fully functional pot still distillery producing up to 500,000 litres of spirit each year. With the opening of the distillery came the opportunity to fully control the entirety of the production of Teeling Whiskey. They are able to truly innovate and are crafting unique whiskeys through innovative mash bills, fermentation and distilling techniques. Open to the public and easily accessible for any visitor to the city come experience how a real distillery operates. The City Hall, Dublin, originally the Royal Exchange, is a civic building in Dublin, Ireland. It was built between 1769 and 1779 to the designs of architect Thomas Cooley and is a notable example of 18th-century architecture in the city. City Hall is a 14 minute walk from the Hotel.
