Yuexiu Park is the largest comprehensive park in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. It is a national key Park, a national AAAA tourist attraction, one of the 100 famous parks in China, one of the eight scenic spots in Yangcheng, and was awarded the Asian Golden Travel Award, the most scenic spot with Chinese cultural characteristics in Greater China, the most beautiful tourist destination in China, green ecology and cultural charm. [27] Yuexiu Mountain, the main body of Yuexiu Park, got its name from the "Chaohan Platform" built on the mountain by Zhao Tuo, king of South Vietnam in the Western Han Dynasty. It is an important inheritance and dissemination position of Guangzhou Hakka folk songs, Wing Chun, Yuexiu Mountain story and other intangible cultural heritage projects. [18] There is a stone archway built in the Qing Dynasty, which is engraved with the characters "ancient Chu Pavilion", and many historical records regard "Chu Ting" (or "Chu Pavilion") as the prototype of Guangzhou [1]. In the park, there are Zhenhai Tower, ancient city walls, four forts, Zhongshan Monument, Sun Yat-sen reading and governing Office monument, Wu Tingfang tomb, Ming Shaoxing Wu Junchen tomb, seafarer's pavilion, five sheep stone statue, five sheep legend sculpture group, spherical water tower and other attractions. The area where the park is located has been one of the eight sights of Yangcheng since the Yuan Dynasty. In 2006, the park was rated as a national 4A tourist attraction.
