The mission of the Ogden Museum of Southern Art is to broaden the knowledge, understanding, interpretation, and appreciation of the visual arts and culture of the American South through its events, permanent collections, changing exhibitions, educational programs, publications, and research.

The New Orleans Museum of Art is located in City Park, convenient to the City Park/Metairie Road exit of 1-10. The Museum may be reached by street car from the Carrollton line extending from the Canal Street line, or by public bus via the Carrollton Avenue or Esplanade Avenue lines of the RTA.

Renowned historian, author and educator, Dr. Stephen Ambrose founded The National World War II Museum Foundation in New Orleans in 1991. The Museum, which opened on June 6, 2000, is the only museum in the United States that addresses all of the amphibious invasions or "D-Days" of World War II, honoring the more than 16 million Americans who took part in this global conflict.

The New Orleans Botanical Garden has its roots in the Great Depression as a project of the Works Progress Administration (WPA). Originally known as the City Park Rose Garden, the garden opened in 1936 as New Orleans' first public classical garden. Reborn as the New Orleans Botanical Garden in the early 1980s, the garden's collections contained over 2,000 varieties of plants from all over the world set among the nation's largest stand of mature live oaks.

The Mercedes-Benz Superdome is established as a premier destination for every type of event, and the grand structure builds on that legacy continually. Meeting planners ranked the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center first out of forty destinations in the category of new or expanded convention centers in the Metropoll XIV, Volume II Report. The report also ranked the Center above average in the Center's proximity to activities and hotel rooms, making it the ideal location for your event. The Center boasts more than one million square feet of contiguous exhibit space, 140 meeting rooms, 2 ballrooms and a 4,000 seat auditorium.

Located on the threshold of one of America’s most exciting cities, the Smoothie King Center is the largest state-of-the-art venue of its size in the region. Adjacent to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and situated on the 55-acre campus of the Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District, the Smoothie King Center has been a catalyst for live entertainment development in the area. As home of the New Orleans Pelicans, the Smoothie King Center has helped to anchor the sports complex and provide enhanced event programming and opportunities for the City and State. In addition to playing host to some of the world’s largest musical acts, the Center has hosted several collegiate basketball events including both Men’s and Women’s NCAA Regional Tournament, as well as Women’s Final Four. In 2014, the Smoothie King Center also held the 63rd NBA All-Star Game. Due to its proximity to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, there is shared infrastructure such as parking, equipment, personnel, production services, all of which allows for a very efficiently operated facility. The Smoothie King Center is an intimate, first-class venue that services a variety of programming, including headlining concerts, NBA games, premier sporting events, general sessions and private receptions.

The wonders of nature are magnified at Entergy IMAX® Theatre, where larger-than-life adventures explode with the help of the world's most advanced motion picture technology. The theater is located next door to Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, and is one of the finest motion picture systems in the world featuring a special six-channel, multi-speaker sound system and a silver screen reaching five-and-a-half stories tall.
