The Nakijin Castle Ruins are the historical remnants of a gusuku (Okinawan fortress) in Nakijin Village in the Northern Okinawa. Surrounded by robust ramparts, the castle is located at an altitude of approximately 100 meters, and had served as a pivotal fortress to protect the Yanbaru (mountainous areas of Kunigami District in northern Okinawa).
