The museum is located in the beautiful Rancho San Rafael Park. Nevada Museum of Art - located at 160 West Liberty Street. The oldest cultural institution in the state of Nevada, this Museum provides the opportunity for peopld of all ages to encounter, engage, and enjoy a diversity of art experiences. Nevada State Historical Society Museum - located at the University of NV, Reno at 1650 N. Virginia St. An impressive collection of artifacts represents prehistoric times to the present, showcasing the state's role as a passageway to the west and as a focus of gold and silver mining and wealth. Fleichman Planatarium. This ulta-modern planetarium hosts a variety of astronomy exhibits and seminars, and is the only planetarium to show "full-dome" IMAS movies. The science museum exhibits a one-ton meteorite, a solar system model, weather instruments, and much more. National Automobile Museum - located at 10 S. Lake St in Reno. Featuring an extensive collection of 200 plus antique and vintage automobiles. Many were owned by celebrities or featured in classic films. Mark Twain Museum - located at 47-53 C. St and Hwy 341 in Virginia City. Mark Twain started his literary career in this Old West city while working for Virginia City's Territorial newspaper. The original printing presses and work desks still remain in the basement which is now a gift shop.

This ancient beauty is the remnant of the prehistoric Great Basin Sea which once covered almost the entire area of Nevada. Located 45 miles northeast of Reno, this is probably the best fishing spot in the area offering lahontan Cutthroat trout and the ancient Cui-ui fish (the only other place in the world that has these fish is Lake Titicaca in Peru, South America). The Paiute Indians make this their home and offer guided tours of the fish hatcheries. The lake is dotted with mystical rock formations. Visit for the fishing or just to explore the magnificence of this lake.
